Welcome to the third of five transmogrification installments this week. Today's assortment of sets are compilations of mail items. My two mail wearing classes are hunter and shaman, so I put together some sets that I think represent each of them.
This week's schedule:
Day 1: Cloth
Day 2: Leather
Day 3: Mail
Day 4: Plate
Day 5: Matching to a certain item: Sets I've created on request
As always, to see the items on WoWHead, click on Item List beside each set.
First up, three hunter sets. To me, the main focus of a hunter should be their ranged weapon - it's an iconic part of the class and there are many great looking bows/guns/crossbows out there. My preference are bows and crossbows, so I've matched up a few of my favourites. The final three sets are for shamans. The caveat for these sets is that there are no cloaks mentioned because my characters are draenei and cloaks look really weird on them.
Outfit #1:
I've had pieces of this set on my hunter for the longest time, but she looks terrible. One of my guildmates (Featherwind) suggested the shoulders you see here and I added a few other pieces and the set looks pretty polished now.
Item List
Shoulders: Spaulders of the Scarred Lady (or the tier lookalike)
Chest: Captain's Breastplate
Gloves: Captain's Gauntlets
Belt: Replica Beastmaster's Belt
Legs: Leggings of Lethal Force (or tier lookalike)
Boots: Captain's Boots
Crossbow: Legionkiller
Outfit #2:
I've always been jealous of those people who played their hunter as their main in BC. The Black Bow of the Betrayer has been a favourite bow of mine since that expansion.
Item List
Shoulders: Ahn'Kahar Blood Hunter's Spaulders
Chest: Golden Dragonstrike Breastplate
Gloves: Worldstorm Gauntlets
Belt: Heavy Notched Belt
Legs: Dragonstrike Leggings
Boots: Tsunami Boots (These are important, they are essentially invisible, allowing the full pattern of the pant to be shown.)
Bow: Black Bow of the Betrayer
Outfit #3:
Keeping with the trend of fantastic bows, the Bristleblitz Striker has a beautiful pattern of gold and blue, so I went with a set that combined those colours throughout.
Item List
Helm: Hateful Gladiator's Chain Helm
Shoulders: Shoulderguard of the Spirit Walker
Chest: Quivering Tunic
Gloves: Windrunner's Handguards of Conquest
Belt: Netherstrike Belt
Legs: Hateful Gladiator's Chain Leggings
Boots: Boots of Tremoring Earth
Bow: Bristleblitz Striker
Outfit #4:
The shoulders I chose here actually have a lightning animation that didn't show up in this screenshot.
Item List
Shoulders: Mantle of the Tireless Tracker
Chest: Shroud of Rime
Gloves:Runeshaper's Gloves
Belt: Girdle of Chained Thunder
Main Hand: Shockwave Truncheon
Shield: Bulwark of Smoldering Steel
As as aside, how cool is that mace. Seriously.
Outfit #5:
This is very close to my current Enhancement set, minus the awesome helm, plus another axe in her offhand. For some reason MogIt wouldn't cooperate here so I included a proper photo of this set below.
Item List
Helm: Crown of Flame
Shoulders: Merciless Gladiator's Linked Spaulders
Chest: Blood Knight Breastplate
Gloves: Merciless Gladiator's Linked Gauntlets
Belt: Masterwork Girdle
Legs: Engraved Leggings
Boots: Engraved Boots
Weapon (transmog both weapons to this): Sun-Forged Cleaver
I snapped a screenshot of what the set looks like in game to give you a better idea of how the axes will look.
The axes have a little red ruby thing on the end of them as well, and they show off with the set really well when they are sheathed at your shaman's waist.
Outfit #6:
I really like the blue and silver tones of this outfit, but I realize that not every shaman is a leatherworker who has access to these BoP shoulders. I've included some links below of other shoulders that work just fine with the set.
Item List
Helm: Cyclone Headdress
Shoulders: Shoulders of Lightning Reflexes
Chest: Heroes' Earthshatter Tunic
Gloves: Mitts of Burning Hail
Belt: Necrogenic Belt
Legs: Black Dragonskin Breeches
Boots: Renegade Boots
Main Hand: Crystal Spire of Karabor
Shield: Bastion of Light
Other possible shoulders to use: Feludius' Mantle, Horrific Flesh Epaulets, Heroes' Earthshatter Spaulders, or Skyshatter Shoulderpads.
As always, thank you for taking the time to check out today's post about transmogrification sets. Please check back tomorrow for the next installment: Plate armour sets!
I really like what you did with the Golden Drangonstrike pieces in Set #2.
