Transmogrification Week: Day 2 - Leather

Welcome to the second of five transmogrification installments this week. Last time we looked at an assortment of cloth sets, today we'll be looking at various leather outfits.

This week's schedule:
Day 1: Cloth
Day 2: Leather
Day 3: Mail
Day 4: Plate
Day 5: Matching to a certain item: Sets I've created on request

Exactly like yesterday, to see the items on WoWHead, click on Item List beside each set.

Outfit 1:

This is similar to what my druid is currently wearing, except for the colouring. My current feral set is the black version of this set.

Item List
Shoulders: Krom'gar Champion's Leather Shoulderguard
Chest: Gilt Cuirass
Gloves: Poorly Styled Gloves
Belt: Field Agent's Belt
Legs: Feather Lined Legguards
Boots: Swabbie's Booties
Cloak (Optional): Dark Phantom Cape

For weapons, Banner Slicer looks great with this if you have a polearm equipped. If you still have a staff equipped, Silvery Sylvan Staff looks fantastic with this set.

Outfit 1 Alternative:

This is my current feral transmog set, but the only differences are the polearm and cloak I have equipped.

Item List
Helm: Darkcloud Mask
Shoulders: Broodkiller Shoulderguard
Chest: Farmer's Vest
Gloves: Savage Handwraps
Belt: Belt of the Unafraid
Legs: Booty Bay Pantaloons
Boots: Fancy Footwork
Cloak (Optional): Cloak of Crimson Snow

My cloak: Drape of the Dark Reavers
My polearm: Splinterspear Spear

Outfit 2:

I wanted to create something a little "earthier" for this set, and the green tones and tree-like textures helped me achieve that.

Item List
Helm: Feathered Headdress
Shoulders: Cenarion Spaulders
Chest: Chestguard of Nature's Fury
Gloves: Bark-Gloves of Ancient Wisdom
Belt: Cord of Pale Thorns
Legs: Replica Wildheart Kilt
Boots: Treads of Sordid Screams
Main Hand:  Terrok's Shadowstaff
Cloak (Optional): None

I didn't equip a cloak on this set. The detail on the kilt should be shown off, not covered in the back. For boots here, any boot that shows a little bit of the druid's foot is a good addition.

Outfit 3:

If I ever play a moonkin, this is what I'd want my gear to look like. I figured moonkins should be a little brighter (due to the whole sunfire/wrath colouring), so I chose a blue and yellow scheme here.

Item List
Helm: Conqueror's Nightsong Headguard
Shoulders: Deep Earth Mantle (Raid Finder colour)
Chest: Starry Robes of the Crescent
Gloves: Grips of the Lunar Eclipse
Belt: Mighty Girdle
Legs:
Boots: Treads of Sordid Screams
Main Hand: Spire of Coagulared Globules
Cloak (Optional): None

Like the previous set, there is no cloak chosen here. One of the best looking cloaks is a random drop off Al'Akir. (Permafrost Cape) But this cloak will do this set just fine: Knight's Cloak.

Outfit 4:

The final set is close to what my current resto transmog is at the moment. I love the blend of colours here; purple, green, and yellow. The Constellus mace inspired this set.

Item List
Helm: Helm of the Blind Seer (Heroic colouring)
Shoulders: Ravenwing Pauldrons
Chest: Vestments of the Shattered Fellowship
Gloves: Heavenly Gloves of the Moon
Belt: Belt of the Crescent Moon
Legs:
Boots: Treads of Sordid Screams (See a trend?)
Main Hand: Constellus
Off Hand: Ironmender
Cloak (Optional): None

Potential cloak for this set: Dory's Embrace.
See those toes? I love that!

(Bonus) Outfit 5:

Have you ever wondered what a Mord-Sith might look like in game? 'course you have! I picked up red leather pieces and incorporated the closest thing I could imagine as her Agiel. I considered using the torture poker, but settled on this dagger.

Item List
Helm:  Adventurer's Bandana
Shoulders: Serpent's Shoulders
Chest: Grimaxe's Black Breastplate
Gloves: Scaled Leather Gloves
Belt: Feral Cord
Legs: Hightailing Leggings
Boots: Bard's Boots
Main Hand: Wastewalker Shiv
Off Hand: Supplicant's Rod (not shown)

After trying to create Set 4 for myself, I realized some of those items would be a little difficult to get. To give you an idea of some items you can easily replace (or are more easily obtainable), this is my current resto set:

The differences for this set are some items, but also the way the lookalike pieces can be obtained.

Item List
Helm: Moonglade Cowl - very easy to get, took me 5 runs in Heroic Botanica (off Warpslinter)
Chest: Malfurion's Robe of Conquest - 591 JP from the vendor in Icecrown - Argent Tournament
Gloves: Cindersilk Gloves - already in my possession (Firelands)
Main Hand: Mariel's Sorrow (Heroic ToC 5 man)
Offhand: Book of Binding Will (BoT)
Boots: Boots of Living Grace  (crafted)

Thanks for coming by and checking out today's installment of transmog gear, check back tomorrow for an assortment of Mail armour sets!

  2. "Outfit 3" is by far my favourite. The shoulders, the gloves, the staf... I love it!
